The Instructor Development Course is divided into two sections, the Assistant Instructor course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) programme.

The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the Instructor Development Course - and can be completed in as little as two days after completing online independent E-Learning. During the course you gain experience and continue to learn the PADI System of diver education.
As a PADI Assistant Instructor you'll give classroom and confined water presentations and evaluate PADI Open Water Diver course surface skills (under direct supervision of a PADI Instructor). You can also teach some PADI Speciality courses, conduct PADI Discover Scuba Diving experiences and PADI Seal Team AquaMissions.
You must be 18 years or older to undertake this course.
