The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course helps certified divers expand skills, explore new types of diving and gain real-world experience through supervised adventure dives. Can other people come to watch?
  • Yes — spectators are usually welcome at the dive site; however, space can be limited and some areas may be restricted for safety. Let us know if guests are coming.
Is there parking at Stoney Cove?
  • Yes — Stoney Cove has on-site parking. Fees and availability may vary by event; check with us for current details
Are there changing rooms at Stoney Cove?
  • Yes — Stoney Cove provides basic changing and shower facilities. Bring a towel and a change of clothes.
Can I buy food and drinks at Stoney Cove?
  • There is usually a café or vending facilities on-site, but offerings and opening hours may vary. We recommend bringing water and snacks if you have dietary needs.
What are the typical start and finish times?
  • Most Advanced Open Water open-water days run roughly 08:00–16:00, but exact start/finish times depend on tides, site access, and group bookings. We’ll confirm times when you book.
What are the medical requirements?
  • You must complete a medical statement; certain conditions require physician sign-off.
What should I bring?
  • Mask, snorkel, fins (if you have them), certification card, logbook, swimmer’s costume, towel, warm clothing, and any personal medication.​
