PADI Enriched Air Diver Course
This primarily theory-based course teaches you how to plan recreational dives using enriched air nitrox with oxygen concentrations of up to 40%.
PADI eLearning
After booking, you’ll receive access to the PADI Enriched Air Diver eLearning programme. Complete the theory online at your own pace before attending the practical instruction.
The eLearning covers:
- The benefits and limitations of using enriched air nitrox
- Oxygen exposure and related safety considerations
- Calculating maximum operating depths and dive times
- Analysing and labelling nitrox cylinders
- Setting your dive computer correctly
- Planning safe nitrox dives
- Handling and using enriched air responsibly
Completing the eLearning before the practical session allows you to focus on applying your knowledge and developing safe nitrox procedures with an experienced PADI Instructor.

The course combines PADI eLearning with practical instruction, cylinder-analysis training, dive-planning guidance and support from an experienced PADI Instructor. Optional training dives may be available, depending on your booking.

Requirements
You must be at least 12 years old and hold a recognised PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. Previous nitrox experience is not required. You’ll also need to complete the PADI medical questionnaire. Medical clearance may be required depending on your answers.
Equipment
Bring your dive computer, if you have one, along with your logbook or certification details. We’ll confirm equipment, gas fills, cylinders, site entry and any additional costs before training. Every nitrox cylinder must be analysed before use. You’ll be taught how to check the oxygen percentage, calculate the maximum operating depth and record the information correctly.
Training dates and locations
Training dates and locations will be confirmed after booking. Optional training dives may be available, depending on your booking. Sessions may be rescheduled or relocated if weather, water conditions or other safety considerations are unsuitable.
Booking
After booking, we’ll email two or three date options within two to three working days. Dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
