PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed for certified PADI Open Water Divers who want to extend their experience and improve their diving skills under the guidance of experienced PADI Professionals.
You’ll complete five Adventure Dives over two days at Stoney Cove. The course includes two mandatory dives—Deep and Underwater Navigation—plus three additional Adventure Dives chosen from the available options.

PADI eLearning
Once your booking, medical declaration and equipment sizing details have been completed, we’ll provide your PADI system login details. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning covers.

During the course, you’ll develop your ability to:

Your instructor will provide demonstrations, guided tuition, practical coaching and personalised feedback throughout the course.
Course format
- Five supervised Adventure Dives
- Two full days of open-water diving at Stoney Cove
- A daily start time of 09:00
- A finish time of approximately 16:00
The practical sessions are delivered in a small group by a PADI Professional from our 5‑Star PADI centre.

Requirements
You must hold a recognised PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent qualification. You must also complete the PADI medical questionnaire before starting the course. Depending on your answers, you may need to obtain medical clearance from your GP. You cannot participate in the course without a completed medical declaration.
Equipment sizing
After your course dates have been confirmed, we’ll send you a link to our equipment sizing guide. Please complete it carefully so we can prepare the correct-sized equipment for you. If you have your own fully serviced and well-maintained scuba equipment that you would like to use, please let us know in advance.
What to bring

- Any personal diving equipment you would like to use
- Your completed equipment sizing information
Further details about what to bring and the equipment provided will be sent before your training.
Training conditions
All dives are subject to weather, water conditions and safety considerations. Sessions may be adjusted, rescheduled or relocated if conditions are unsuitable.
Booking and available dates
Within two to three working days of booking, we’ll email you three available date options for your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re unable to attend any of the dates offered, please let us know and we’ll check whether alternative dates are available.
Once your dates are confirmed, we’ll send you:
- The PADI medical questionnaire
- The equipment sizing guide
- Your PADI eLearning login details
