Meet The Team
Northampton Scuba School was formed in December 2000 and is Northamptonshire's only PADI Dive Centre, being awarded PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre Status in 2004. The school has issued over 4000 certifications covering all levels from new divers to PADI Staff Instructors. Within the team we have to 3 Instructors, 4 Assistant Instructors and 3 Divemasters plus access to two Course Directors - Bethan "Betty" Comley at www.prodiveuk.com and Dan Scarlata at www.paradisedivers.co.uk.
Name: Alison Davies
Dive Qualification: Staff Instructor & School Owner/Manager
Bio: Alison has been diving since 2012 and had a career in retail banking before turning her hobby into a profession, and becoming a dive pro in 2018. Alison started her professional diving career with Northampton Scuba School, then extended her qualifications in Egypt and through ProDive UK - she has recently completed her Staff Instructor qualification. Alison loves underwater photography and wildlife - in particular sharks! Alison has spent time in The Bahamas on a shark interaction workshop and volunteering spearing invasive lion fish on the Belize Barrier Reef.

Karl has been diving since 2007 and has logged more dives than he can remember! His favorite dive site is the Coral Sea Northern Australia and favourite UK site is the Farne Islands. He’s been an instructor for 10 years, and loves teaching at all levels, from openwater up to Instructor. He worked for 3 scuba schools near London before moving to Norfolk and starting ScubaLibre. Karl started working with Alison during the first lockdown and we’re now looking forwards to working together on professional courses in 2023.
